The GYROTONIC® method , created by Juliu Horvath, is a movement practice which has roots in Yoga, Tai Chi, swimming and dance. GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breath. allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility. major muscle groups are worked interdependently and in an integrated manner in order to increase range of motion and develop coordination.
GYROTONIC® exercise is ideal for clients at any level of condition who want more flexible spines, hips and shoulders, or who want more overall strength and flexibility for the whole body.
Cobra Elite Pulley Tower
After many years of research and development, Juliu Horvath began to make available to GYROTONIC® Trainers the Pulley Tower Combination Unit, often called the Pulley Tower, and various versions have appeared over the last 20 years. These models may look slightly different, but the function is the same on all machines: the pulleys operate in the same way to produce constant and smooth resistance. The Handle Unit at the end of the bench has also remained the same over time, with small changes implemented that have made the brake and rotational mechanisms function more smoothly. The latest version is the Cobra Elite and is what classes are taught on at Peaked Hill Studio.
